I am 34wks 3 days pregnant and i am coming down with the flu. So not only am i fat, uncomfortable, and aching from the pregnancy i am also feeling stuffed up, dizzy and exceptionally tired. I am still working full time and will be until i get to 38wks - well thats the plan.

I walked into the office this morning and as soon as i sat down people are nagging and b*tching that this and that needs to be done - the normal stuff that goes on in an office.. except i feel like i'm about to snap. I can't handle it - the nagging and b*tching and constant "this needs to be done" and "that needs to be done". Alot of it is bad planning - i gave them 6months notice about maternity leave and its only in the last two weeks that they decided what would happen while i was away - not nearly enough time to train them! So they are panicking.

I'm on the verge of telling them what they can do with this job and storming out... or bursting into tears - i don't know which one yet,

Any advice?

Hang tight. Believe me, I know how hard it is to work full-time so late in pregnancy. I worked up until the day my water broke at 39 weeks (my son was born less than 2 days later). I kept telling myself that it will be worth it in the end. I knew that I would rather have the extra time off with my baby then sitting at home alone for weeks waiting for my baby to come. You only have 4 more weeks to go...you can do it. If you are getting sick, take a day or two off to recover and get some rest, but don't walk out on your job...you may regret that decision later on.

I plan on working till the bitter end again with my second child.

Good luck!

If you're coming down with the flu, what in the world are you doing at work???? That's bad for you and the baby, and passing around your germs at work is only going to make the job situation worse, since everyone will be getting sick. Take a few sick days if you can and get yourself better. If it is the flu, you need to get rest now.

i would just do what i can and thats it. it is not your fault that they didnt hire anyone for you to train. dont let your job stress you out just stay calm and let everyone in the office panick
