Historians say he was related to the Scottish ruling family, and I'm directly related to them. Plus, his father was nobility. Is it possible I am related to him?

You could be a cousin umpteen times removed but you cannot be a descendent as he had no children.

Yes and you could also be related to a horse thief. Actually it is good to find an ancestor you admire as it provides an excellent model for or to which you can aspire. I think I once read that you can not be more than a fifth cousin to any other person in the world but don't quote me on that as I don't know that for sure.

You very well could be. My next door neighbor is Irish and her family is a direct descendant of William Wallace. He had a child and that child had children so it is possible.
