yes without a doubt. of course it depends on where you are and what you mean by dangerous. in terms of kidnapping, Mexico is far and away much more dangerous. just be careful crossing the street in Argentina which suffers from a significant amount of pedestrian fatalities. Argentina is overall though extremely safe. the other suggestion is that if you are in the neighberhood of "la boca" try to leave by nightfall as it is a rougher neighberhood.

i never visited Mexico but i can say that Argentina is not that dangerous, at least in my city, Buenos Aires, well is a big city , you can find everything it is dangerous at night you must be careful at weekend´s night especially if you go to the disco, you can found drunk and dangerous people on the street, you can get stolen so dont walk alone, and if you have a car you MUST NOT leave it no the streets at night and sometimes during the day either youll never know how you will find this after..!!

Mexico, I love Argentinia, people are great, most of the cities are very clean. Mexico has issues, drug cartels mostly. Check out the british and US state department web sits and the Thorn Tree
