Turn the power off and take the battery out. Then open the phone and let it sit and dry for a few hours. Then just hope for the best because there's really nothing else you can do.
If the phone doesn't work after drying it out, you'll have to call the company about a replacement. Hope you got insurance!

My toddler dropped my husband's cellphone into the dog's waterbowl. He fixed it for a little while by taking out the battery and drying everything, then letting it sit and airdry overnight before putting it back together. It lost some functions but could make and receive calls for a few weeks after that. And then it died completely. Dunno if it was because of the water damage or something else.

get the battery off NOW. then read this...
I have also heard that dipping the phone in alcohol removes the water. I know I saw a URL for that too, but couldn't find it.
note about the guy above me... the only way to get a phone from the carrier is to have insurance...

you cant but i know how you can get another free!just call your cellphone company and tell them you dropped it and you can get a new phone just like yours and you send them the phone you dropped hope that helped

but you should be able to blow dry it and maybe change the battery. it might work...

it prolly wont be free. that happened to my friend TWICE!! lol..He uses Alltel, and they made him pay 50 bucks for a replacement

use the hair dryer to dry it out -- don't get it hot enough to melt.
