QUESTION 2
If a woman is a lesbian is it okay for me to call her a Dyke?

It's when you say something that sounds gay but you don't wanna sound suspect...

1) It's questionable, especially using the word "homo", which is usually used as a slur against gay people. Just say, "I'm not gay, but...."

2) Some people use dyke as an insult. Other people in the lesbian community have "reclaimed" the word and use it just as a description. If you're gay or you're straight *and* you've demonstrated some credibility to your gay friends then you can probably use the word without them taking it the wrong way. Otherwise, play it safe and steer clear. I'd say use the same general guidelines for calling a lesbian a dyke as you would for reacting to a white person calling you a ******. He better be a close friend, right?
