I like old english, welsh, scottish, irish etc names. Things that you or your mother would have never heard, but perhaps your great grandparents had. Any suggestions? I like Cade and Lennox for boys names, and I like floral names like Lily, Jasmine, Violet and Ivy for girls but hey are too common..

I'm going to name my first daughter Caroline Rose. (Pronounced care-oh-line) It was my great grandmother's first name. (Her full name was Caroline Constance Kirkpatrick...what a mouthful!) I like the traditional names too. And all of those names you picked sound great to me. Jasmine is pretty common now, as is Cade. But the others aren't too common. Good luck!

My great-grandmother's name was Philomena -- meaning both sisterly love and worshipper of the moon.

Sylvia has always been a favorite -- connotations of forest and trees.

Dahlia is a beautiful floral name.

Orlando is a wonderful old italian name for a boy.

Jude is a wonderful, old-fashioned boy's name that is Hebrew, I think.

Good luck
