The wheelchair was used because the mere act of walking can jar the already injured shoulder, if the disolcation is serious enough. The pain could have made him too weak to walk steadily, anyway.
Speaking of drama queens, remember when Michael played a playoff game with the FLU one time? LOL, you'd think he was playing on two broken legs from the way the announcers talked about how brave he was to be out there with a fever LOL.... remember that? Oh, of course you don't, you weren't even born yet...
btw, he wants to come back for the playoffs because he's a competitior.

The wheel chair part of it with the towel and everything did seem fishy.
His idol is Jordan, of course, and it seems that he's patterned a lot of his game after Jordan's miraculous flu performance, which was probably a little fishy too.
Wade has been doing this a lot, and it can look like bad acting. He limps off the court or falls down and grimaces in pain, and then a minute later he's scoring on a dunk.
However, the play he got hurt on is no indication of how hurt he actually is. Harmless looking plays can really injure people, and with the Heat barely hanging on to a playoff slot, missing Wade for a few weeks is too much of a risk, especially for the sake of drama. Team doctors have checked him out, and to think that they would lie to go along with a dramatic scheme thought up by Wade, rather than try to get the team to win, is to be a paranoid conspiracy theorist. The team doctors get their paychecks cut by the owner and answer to the GM and the coach - and all of those people want to win and make the playoffs. They don't answer to Wade.
So the answer is, yes, Wade is a drama queen, and the wheel chair thing was over the top, but it's an impossibility for this to be fake, and this type of injury requires eventual surgery, which he will have in the offseason. It's a serious injury - that's not something that's up for debate.

first of all, i'm going to assume that you are a top shape ball player perfectly able to make this statement about Wade. Anything you might say otherwise is just your opinion. I've had the pleasure of throwing out my shoulder once, and believe me it's no joke. By even considering coming back without surgery, he's putting his career at risk. Certain injuries, when not treated in a timely fashion, will recur over and over again. A dislocated shoulder is one of those injuries. I agree that to a point, his decision is being influenced by a media, who has called him all types of names while criticizing him for being wheeled out. It's so easy to judge...but not so easy to actually be the one running the race. Wade is still one of the best in the game right now.

I think he is so full of himself. Who cares about him anyway, he is not even in the same league as the true legends in basketball. I am so sick of seeing his face plastered all over the television.
