I cannot get my people to make stew. I have level 2 of the food and level 2 of the engineering, science and culture. What am I missing?

You need to start a fire, place a villager by the kettle and he will get water for the stew. after that is done take another villager and he will add food to the stew. Then you need to take a villager over by three types of different flowers or the same and they will add that to the stew. 2 purple flowers by the cemetary and one poinsetta flower by the weird floor thingy makes a healing stew. Do you have the cauldron? I believe you have to have level 2 of exploration to get the cauldron. Once you buy that tech, it will appear in the wood pile.
