On my birth control pack, it says you can get pregnant even with only missing one pill. Im sure Ortho evra has a website you can visit. It would probably tell you, if not then call your doc.

Just start trying! Some say that it can take a couple months for it to completely leave your system, but I have a friend who became pregnant a couple weeks after stopping birth control. So there is no way of knowing for sure, but all you can do is start trying and be patient. Since you just decided this last week, you shouldn't be in a major rush anyway. Having a baby is a HUGE change, and it will come fast enough. Good luck!

Well i was on the depo shot for almost 4 years and once i stopped taking it i became pregnant in 11 months.
My friend had been on birth control pills for like 5 years and she got pregnant a year after stopping them.
Everyone is different and it might take you a couple of months or a year to get pregnant. You just have to give it time.

i don't think it makes a difference if you were on birth control or not. It didn't for me. I know for sure though, that you should wait untill you have one full mensrual cycle ( a month or so) before you hit the sheets. It just makes sure there aren't any hormones from the birth control in your body. Also, Start taking your pre-natal viatamins now, even if you might not get pregnant for a few months yet.
Good Luck!!!

I read in a really good book about it that you should wait 3 months, but it is from the 90s so that may have changed with newer pills coming out?? If I were you I would wait a bit anyway, to ensure you have a very healthy baby.

If you stop taking the pill, it could be as little as a month before you get pregnant. Everyone is different though, and it could take longer. Just stop taking the pill and good luck!

Some women have difficulty conceiving after being on hormonal birth control. For future reference, after you have a baby, ask your doc abour Mirena. Its the safest, most effective BC on the market, and WONT make it hard for you to conceive if you want another child later.

About 25% of couples get pg in the first month. 60% get pg within 6 months, 75% get pg within 9 months, and 80% get pg by one year. 90% get pg by 18months. The average each month is you have about a 20% chance in any given cycle to get pg.
