she's been my friend for along time. she's not intimate to me. But I know that she's too negative about things and has been completely depressed for a long time. everytime I ask her whats up or how u doin she says 'bad' or 'im not in the mood'. I don't see her much. so I text her. now I want to do something for her, maybe talk with him to get her out of this depression. but she's not very intimate to me and acts kinda denial like she doesn't have any hope on extending friendship with me.

Take the lead, as long as your talking from the heart your usually rarly in the wrong. Usually most people problems (Espacially a lost of hope) occur because the home situation isn't stable. Which makes sense due to the way she treats your relationship with her. But unless you have an understanding of how families should work that can be some hard ground to trend. Another good thing is to just start getting her to relate her opions about things. Weather, Politices, Boys at school, Religion, and even the sciences. Keep the relationship as deep as you can, but don't loss yourself to much to her, some people need so much time, and a person can only have so much patience. Just remeber if its to much work, its most likly not working.
