It's a lose-lose situation no matter how you look at it. If the children are allowed to see their father, they will still have that bond but they'll only be able to see their father in jail (which is NOT a good environment for children) and they'll be able to see what prison life does to him over time. Not good. If they're not allowed to see him, they could be placed with a relative or foster parents that will (hopefully) take good care of them, but they'll still live with the stigma of knowing the man of the house is not their father -- and that their father is in jail. So now we have to decide what's best for everyone. This guy confessed to killing his wife and chopping her up (heck, they found her torso in his garage) so the best thing for everyone is to put him away for life and find someone better to take parential custodianship of his children. P.S.: As far as I'm concerned, just about anyone would be a better parent and role model for his kids.

If he did kill her, I don't think he should ever get to see them again. They should go to a stable family member who can provide the love and support they're going to need in the future. I imagine the children had to hear something, like screaming or the noises ocurring within the home at the time. If not, then at least that's a blessing. These kids are going to grow up being harassed and knowing their dad offed their mom. She will never be there for their graduation, when they get married, have children, fulfill their dreams, etc. This I think is more of a crime than anything.

what's best for the kids is a safe and stable homelife - which he is unable to provide. the kids are too young to make decisions on their own now, but when they get a little older and realize everything that has happened, i don't think they would want to be associated with someone that killed their mother in such a horrible way. for now, the kids should be protected from that.

It is pretty sad that someday they will have to come to grips with the fact that Daddy dismemberd Mommy after he strangled her.

At this point the best thing that can be done is to sheild the children from this monster until they are old enough to process the gravity of the situation. Sad story...

It is obvious that this man has a disease called paranoid schizophrenia and should be kept from his kids.
