Yes. I have very few surviving family members, and most of those won't speak to me. They've always been distant, even when I was a little kid. I was on my way toward being estranged from my father when he died, and by that point, my mother and brothers were already dead, so there wasn't a lot in the way of family connections for me. When my folks died, the rest of the family ran me off because they didn't want the burden of raising an orphan (or as they termed it, "somebody else's problem").

Yes a older married daughter. I didn't get to see her as much as I wanted because her mom took her a thousand miles away. They later moved back with the new step dad, and gave me nothing but a hard time. My daughter seemed like she only called when she needed something, clothes, money etc. She got married a year ago in a small wedding and without saying it directly she didn't invite me to the wedding. Her finance talked about coming over for BQ some time,. while my daughter was telling my wife, we were not invited. I decided it was the last straw, she hasn't treated me right since she was 10. We have no contact now, but I do have a daughter by my present wife and I am happy with her.

I didn't grow up with my brothers and sisters (foster care), I have made my own Family now.
