My cousin needs help. She is starting middle school and...?

My cousin doesn't have a Y!A account, so she asked me to write this question. You see, she's starting middle school next year, and she currently has a friend in elementary school whom she no longer wants to be friends with. Her friend is becoming very rude, obnoxious, and most importantly, GOTH (my uncle and aunt aren't so happy about them being friends because of that last thing). I would like to help her, but I've never been in a similar situation. Does anybody have any advice on what she sould do?

And, yes, it is about my cousin......

ask your cousin to talk to her friend... try telling her why she thinks they cant be friends anymore.... and then if that doesnt work jst ignore and avoid... what better way to get rid of a friend?

It's really hard to move from group to group. Truly, just tell her to be honest w/ herself. Help her to find her own style and just find new things to get involved with. I always met all of my friends in various sports or activities. It is the easiest and least akward way to meet people. There is always something to talk about then! If she doesn't feel comfortable with her group of friends - she should be true to herself and follow a different path. Friends in middle school change like the wind - so everyone is riding the same rollercoaster. Hope this helps! :)

Tell her to try to develop friendships with other people, and when the obnoxious girl comes around, make an excuse to go do something else.
