Yes, he's still alive. He is NOT on death row. Charlie and several of his followers who committed the murders originally received a death sentence. But in 1972, I believe, California briefly ruled the death penalty unconstitutional. So everyone on death row had their sentences commuted to life. There was no "life without parole" at that time so they are all eligible for regular parole hearings (of the eight Manson family killers only one has ever been paroled). Charlie's in his early 70's now and it's highly unlikely he will ever win parole.

Yes he is alive and living in prison. He is not on death row. He was sentenced to life in prison. More like on death row because he will probably never get out of prison. On death row they put you to death. He'll probably die of natural causes in there.
