How much of your plug did you actually loose that you know of before labor and how soon did labor start after. I have been loosing some for weeks but the past three day I have lost about the size of quarter.

You could be minutes away, or days away. I know that's a broad answer, but it's hard to say. At least you know you are close because losing the mucus plug shows that your cervix is effacing(thinning out), so take heart, you are almost a mama! I hope all goes well for you!

I lost little bits every day for about a week. I'm sure most of yours is gone by now, but labor could start any time. Some women never lose theirs ahead of time, it's different for everyone. Just be patient and wait for labor to start. In the mean time do some walking, reading, cleaning, something to pass the time. Good luck, it won't be long!

my son was born in August of 2002. I was dialated at a 4 for 3 weeks and about a week before I went into labor, I lost about a quarter worth when I went to the bathroom. Your time is coming soon!

I never even noticed it if I did lose it ahead of time, but I was induced, so I may have lost it at the hospital. My doctor said it can take a week or even more after you lose it before you go into labor, but at least you can know it's coming pretty soon. Good luck!

I lost small amounts after my Dr. stripped my membranes over the period of 3 days. I walked around for 2 weeks w/ no mucus plug...2 cm dilated, 80 % effaced and no labor. Dr. finally induced me at 39 1/2 weeks.

ive been losing about the same, maybe more for the past 3 or 4 days and my contractions are getting stronger and closer together today but still no baby.. maybe tonight... im 11 days overdue... i sure hope tonight is the night
