You forgot the "air quotes" around the word Christian.

Anyone who preaches anti-LGBT bigotry and hatred is not a "christian" but a hypocrite, since they have turned their back on their teachings.

Actually, I have seen a few LGBT debates go on in there. Sometimes it has been some of us playing "tit for tat" and giving such issues a hearing over there (kudos to Tegarst).
I guess most of the time people feel they would be preaching to the choir - literally.

They want to fight somebody. As you know the Bible says, "fight your neighbor." Oh wait, it says "love your neighbor." I think they need to visit the mental health section or higher education section.

I am a Christian, but I believe that some people don't fit into the Christian mold. They are what we in the educated world call non-Christians or everybody else. So, I'm not bashing on the Christians, I'm just stating that some of them are very ignorant.

I believe this is a great mistake caused by the yahoo answers administrators, its about where this title is subgrouped, right before entering this section we pass the society&culture part. the LGBTT questions can be seen under that section too, so could that be a reason why their attention is so driven to this section?? (I mean if it's not to save LGBTT ppl from hell)..for I sometimes find myself reading religion questions when i normally am heading for here..marketing hints....maybe an intervention to classify these two irrelevant subjects under different categories coud help decrease the unwanted attacks.

Perhaps because in some way, theses christian groups or the asker of the question is attempting to get a point across. Failing that, and they could be just really not paying attention to where they should be posting their questions at!

You should go to the Religion section and check out some of the abuse that they have to put up with over there. Tolerance should run both ways but clearly it doesn't.

Because they know that gay people will read these questions in this section which is directed to them, anyway Christians cannot prove God's existence nor that the Bible is God's word, it contains so many contradictions and unbelievable bad and horrible things, read it yourself, and to those who hate LGBT people will you just leave us in peace, WE WILL DIE SOMEDAY and life is short it ain't worth it

Some do and more often than not the majority of those who respond castigate them for not showing "christian love and compassion." This happened just a few moments ago.

Because these pitiful, pathetic people will only get mostly answers in agreement with them over there. The miserable losers want angry, emotional responses so they can have their sick little mini-orgasms.

They wouldn't get any kind of reaction - just concerted agreement.
