Needs to be cheap, easy to get, and easy to take care of.
Tank is only 10 gallons so nothing that gets too big.

Well, it depends on your lighting. If you have a lot of light, then you have more options. But for now, I'd suggest anubias. They do flower, but it's not easy to get them to, so read up on them. Even if they don't flower, they are very pretty and easy to grow even if you don't have a lot of light.

Rotala doesn't flower, but if given the proper conditions, it will turn a nice rosy pink. It's pretty cheap, and is a stem plant so it's fine in pretty much whatever size tank you have (I have it in a 2.5 on my desk). It'll also grow like crazy so you don't have to worry about getting a lot of it because you'll have a tank full before you know it!

Quite a number available.... tropical tank??? Just be sure the fish you have won't nibble at the leaves!!!!!!!!!
