How can I connect it.... Do I have to buy a cable for that???

i am pretty sure that a computer monitor will not be able to hook up to a ps3. a computer monitor has a certain cable that you hook up to your computer, and an HDTV usually has this plug (at least mine does). it has 3 rows of...like 5 or 6 plugs and its blue or black and should say MONITOR IN or COMPUTER IN. if it dosent have a cable outlet like that, then im sure you cant hook it up. i havent checked the back of a PS3 for a while, because my friend has it, and he didnt use a computer monitor.
the cable i think you can buy at Radioshack or Best Buy, or it comes with a computer monitor.
if you dont have an HDTV, you should consider it for your computer and your gaming. they're VERY versatile.
