the ref usually tells the assistant how many minutes he will add. the assistant then uses the same thing as when there is a substitution to signal to the stadium how many minutes have been added. the players can see this towards the end of each half.

Well there is a big board at the game that shows the time and alsso the quaterback has an ear piece which off. coordinators talk to him and tell himi time but mainly jumbotron that shows how much time is left

they could glance up at the 5 sq metre electronic score board at most grounds but refs normally will say how much added on or the manager will indicate how much time left watch alex fergusson

2,extra time score time board is held up
3,most grounds have a huge clock above their stands
thus i think they know ,and if they did'nt someone would tell them GAME OVER

yes they do have an idea of it. the middle ref holds up a clock with a time of injury time left. usually its about a minutes so they know how much is left thanks to the middle ref
