Join the club. Today's "designers" never heard of ergonomics. Everything is intentionally made so the you have to take it to a dealer and pay through the nose. The term "Ford designers" is an oxymoron by the way.

You should try some Toyotas. You have to remove one part, to get to another...some things, you just don't wanna "do it yourself", then it costs an arm and a leg to pay the dealership to do the same thing.

Ever change out the battery on a Stratus? Oh yeah, that's quite fun alright.

An alternator on an Accord? That's another party.

Makes you wonder where they find the pygmies to put these vehicles together.

Its not just FORDS...he never had to change one himself. some vehicles you need to pull the battery and radiator cover off just to access the socket . toyotas do stink when changing bulbs. I guess simple is too much to ask for what ever happend to 3 phillips screw holding on the whole light. you remove the 3 screws and the light falls off. you plug in the new light tighten 3 screws took less than 2 minutes. I guess thats why they have to ask soo much for a car. they engineer it so you have to go to the dealership to have the simplest repair done.

I have a standing bet with a dodger stealth. If you can pour a glass of water through the engine compartment with out hitting any part with water you get $ 100.
