No indictment on you personally.
But please hear me out.....
When I was a kid (yawn, yawn) we had no telly and made our own games. I could name most fishes in the river, most trees in the wood, most flowers in the garden - and, sadly, most trains that ran down our local train line. But it was always fun! Learning about something new all the time.
But to be fair to this generation, it was safe to roam the woods and canals, footpaths, and the likes, and pick up experiences.
We had Penny for the Guy on Bonfire Night. We had carol singing - only way to get money for parents Christmas presents. We were allowed to play conkers at school. We used to play British Bulldog - like rugby without set rules.
I feel sorry for today's youngsters.
My generation - and I have to accept responsibility for voting these politicians into power - have closed your world down - through Health & Safety regulations and the like - and thus you are reduced to computers, tv, or computer games.
We used to read a lot. A good book can be escapism, and the younger generation are missing out on so much by neglecting reading. Switch the computer off from time to time, and read Huckle Berry Finn - anything, but leave the tv and computer alone for a while, and look a bit wider.
I will probably be boo'd down for this answer, but if the new generation look around them, there is a whole different world out there, waiting to be explored.

Just get up and do something. Play a game, call a friend, go out of the house. Go to dinner or shopping with friends. Call a friend or relative you haven't talk to in a while. Write a letter or make a chart of a goal you have or something. Get into something creative, like drawing or painting or building something. I have a doll house and it is actually really entertaining and challenging to put together.

you can go to work for me and I'll stay home!!! Sorry!! No really do something that is good for you but will also knock out your boredom. For example, go for a walk or get into a good book. Visit a family member you don't see that often or something like that.

Look around you....there's lots you could do that you "should" do, and probably leave for others or it doesn't get done. Lazy people are easily bored!

Try www.i-am-bored.com, or www.blogthings.com.

If you don't want to be on the net, try reading, or cooking, or riding a bike, or active video games. Got pets?...Walk them or clean thier cages, clean the house. Goodluck!
