I just bought a external hard drive, and it's formatted to be FAT32, do I need to change it? If so, how?

Yes sirree.. FAT 32 is almost obsolete. You don't HAVE to...but it does make much better use of the available space.

Right click on My Computer.Select Manager.(this is by memory so bear with)

Click on storage devices. find the HDD there, I can't remember from there. but if I remember right you have to right click on the drive and there should be an option for conversion.
