in your case a GED may be a good option for you. I would immediately check out community colleges because they may be a better fit. Dont give up on school. I found that high school was the worst for me, but college was the high school education I needed. I too had a hard time in high school but went on to finish college with a four year degree. It is harder to do it with a GED, but it can be done.

No. Don't do that. Although a diploma and a GED are considered the same, colleges do not look at them the same. 2nd, life is going to be alot harder as you go. School is probably the easiest thing you have to do right now-possibly ever. If you cannot enjoy it, know that (by going to school) you are taking advantage of an opportunity some in the world do not have (cliche, yes-but true).
Believe it or not, your parents are doing the right thing. They know that getting a dipolma is importent for you do to, as it is importent for them for you to have.
Don't drop out. Prove everyone wrong. Your not stupid, your not a failure and colleges will see it as well.

it is pointless to drop out now. You can drop at 16. You could have not gone to school for the lst 2 years. You only have 2 and a half years left. Even if you scrape by and barely pass it looks much better than a ged. Just grind it out and you will see why in 10 years.

I don't think anyone should drop out of high school. Your chances of getting into college and being successful in life depend on it. Why not talk to your school counselor or someone about it?
If you are smart, but truant (my dad was almost the same) then your chances are better. Now Dad's a great executive, but he DIDN'T drop out. I'm not saying, "Look at my Dad for a role model", but don't drop out.
Just think all the more education you'll have for a better job if you have 5 years of high school!

Are you getting help for your depression? College is much harder than high school and you have to be more disciplined. If you do not take care of your depression, then unfortunately, you probably won't stick with college either. You need to go to a doctor and take care of your depression. THEN see how you feel. You might be able to take some night classes in order to get through high school faster. Good luck!

i believe that you should do what you think is best for your FUTURE only!
everything is determind by your future, the way your doing now makes it easier to undertsnad what your future would be later.
so , my advice to you buddy, is just to quit school under one condition, quit school if you have something else you depend on to pay off in the future, like deals,selling,assigments,favors...etc.
but for your own good you better stay in school despite your bad grades or something...
its all up to you, not your parents...
Good Luck With Your Life..!
