Dilation and labor?

I am at a one and 50% effaced. Anyone else go into labor soon after this or was it weeks?

I don't remember my effacement, but I was dialated 3-4 centimeters for weeks...it's different for every pregnancy

I was 5 cms dilated and 50% effaced for 3 weeks (3-4 cms for a month before that), I ended up getting induced.

I went to the dr a week ago and i was 1cm and 70% effaced... and I still haven't gone!! Everyones body goes at a different speed when it comes to dilating and effacing... I wish I had a crystal ball for myself as well!! Good luck and hang in there!

I was 2 cent and 50% effaced at 36 weeks and went to term..it doesnt mean anything

i stayed 2cm dilated and 50% effaced for a month but that was with twins,so i'll likely be different for you. good luck to you! wishing for a safe,quick,and painfree labor! yeah right ;)

It could still be weeks....I was dialated to 3 and 70% effaced for three weeks with my second daughter.

I went into labor about 1 wk later. You will know because you will loose you mucus plug a couple days before or less. Good luck with your baby & the labor!

Unfortunately....every preganancy is different. Some woman go into labor faster than others, while some take alot longer.
But, from my experiences (3kids) it could be a few weeks

depends on each person..it can take weeks im almost 38 wks and 3 cm i was closed one day then 4 to 5 days later i went from closed to 3 cm im still 3 cm..
