It needs to be for a girl. A band has asked me to sing with them, so I'm guessing it should be more of a rock song. My voice range is pretty wide. Any suggestions would most definately be appreciated. Thanks Much!!

I'd pick a song by No Doubt. It should be fun to sing, play and listen to.

Well, I'm not sure if you mean, a song that a girl once sang and would sing, or a song to sing to a girl. In all honesty, a girl can sing any thing, even if she has to change a few words in song.
But if the first of the above is true, my suggestions are
The World Is Not Enough, Surrender, If You're Not In It For Love I'm Out Of Here, I wanna Fall In Love, and What If I Do (It was sung by Mindy McCreedy).

Not knowing your tastes in music I'm going to suggest that you find a song that you really like, one that moves you and holds meaning for you. In other words - don't sing a song about something you don't know about or haven't experienced.

Since you are singing with a band you need to confer with them to see if they have any suggestions or have any decisions made already. You'll most likely get your best song ideas this way.

One suggestion, perhaps Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield? This is really a good coming-of-age song that fits the under 20 crowd extremely well.

I would talk to the band. They will know what they can play and what they cant. Maybe some Evanesence?? But really you should see what songs the band already knows or a song they can learn quickly. Good luck and knock 'em dead at the talent show.

Slow Ride by Foghat. It's an easy song and sounds good. I did it at a rock camp last year and everyone really liked it.
