I had a pregnancy scare when I was younger and went to planned parenthood. They already had my information because I had gone there before for birth control. All I had to do was give a medical history, give a urine sample, and wait for the results. If you are pregnant, they will go over what options you have by giving you a list of doctors, abortion clinics, and adoption agencies. They're very professional, caring, understanding people, so don't be scared at all! Everything is confidential. Good luck!

Usually, they will first take a history and find out some info. Then they will have you pee in a cup, and the test will be run while either you sit and wait in a room, or they talk to you. They will get your weight, your temp and blood pressure. If it is positive, they will give you some info and discuss your options. They may do a pelvic exam, just to confirm the size of your uterus and make sure your cervix feels right. If they don't do one now, they will tell you what to do to get one. They are really nice there, and very discreet. Don't worry about feeling embarrassed. They make it is easy as they can. Trust me, they are very, very sweet and nice there. They treat you just like they would at a doctors office. I did a few weeks at one while I was in school, and I almost got a job at one, I really liked working there just because they were so good to the patients, and so understanding about everything. They really care about the women who go there, and only want to help you.

my personal opinion is not a good one. when i went there to get on birth control about 3 years ago. they told me i had an infection and a heart murmur and that it did not sound good. i was terrified and left in tears, went to a real doctor office and there was not a thing wrong with me. i personally do not like the place and they do not know what they are talking about. i went to crisis pregnancy center and got a confirmation of pregnancy. people were alot nicer and helpful. hope this helps, once again this is just my opinion, they could be alot better now after all that was three years ago for me

Not for pregnancy but in Vermont yes. (especially when I was a resident assistant in college with my residents weekly it seemed for dumb stuff they did) anyway, everyone seemed nice and descrete and I assume that they will do what any OB office would do. Urine test and pelvic if you are pregnant. Good Luck.
