I am not my sister, I am myself and a very responsible adult. My sister is older and extremely controlling. My mom does not treat me bad or try to control me, my mom is very proud of me and my family. My sister tries to control my thoughts or way of life. I am not irresponsible, I am a very good caring person who makes great decisions in life. She can not stand it when I do not think the same way she do, and she hates it that I do not hold the exact same religious beliefs she holds. SHe does everything she can to control me. I am a free person in a free country able to think the way I want to. THe fact is I am so sick of being insulted and treated as if I am one of the most evil person in the world because I do not hold the strict religious ideals she holds. She is so mean and has been and I cannot take it anymore. I try to stand up for myself in the most mature way and in a nice way but she stills finds ways to put me down. What should I do?

Ignore her! Let her say whatever she wants and still do what you want. You know she isn't right and that's all that counts. You have to let her be her, while you be you. Try not to let what she says get to you. You could try to talk to her and let her know that you won't be spending much time with her, because you are tired of her putting you down, and that you are intitled to your own beliefs just like she is.

First of all it doesn't matter if you both have the same religious beliefs or not. If Christianity is involved then everyone holds their own account to God one day and who cares what everyone else thinks. My best advice is like my grandmother use to tell me. "Just smile and walk away." Don't argue with her. Ignore her and don't let her get to you. If she knows she is getting to you then she will keep picking @ it but if she doesn't feel she is accomplishing anything she will stop. I promise this works! Let ignorant people just be ignorant. Don't let them affect you. Life is too short.

Set her straight. There really is no other way to go. Tell her how you feel and that you honestly think she needs to stop being a what ever. And if she doesn't get the hint don't front, and if you have to get witchy thats ok.

You haven't given any details, really. I find it hard to believe that you are all good and your sister is all bad. However, if you don't want to be insulted, just agree with whatever she says when she is around and do whatever you want, anyway.
