Contractions feel like mestural cramps. If you were already dialated last week I would keep a close watch on timing them you may actually be in labor. I had back labor for my little girl for about 10 hours before I started having contractions in the front. Call your doctor and let them know what is going on and they will tell you what to do from there. Good Luck.

drink a few big glasses of water and lay on your left side and keep timing the pains. if they continue and get closer together, go to the hospital. if they start to space out and/or stop then you aren't in labor. sometimes when you are dehydrated or overtierd you might contract for awhile. stay hydrated or else you will feel pain that usually won't dialate your cervix.

If you are already dialated its probobly early labor. Those menstral like cramps is actually you dialating. As you dailate further, as you have contractions your whole belly will tighten up and be painful. You can actually see your belly tighten up the further along you go. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

my labor pains were like menstral cramps, just remeber to time them if they get like every 5 min apart and last longer than a hr go to the hospital. also remember you are not the first nor the last that will go in for false labor if you go in. good luck

you are having contractions sometimes these feel like mild period cramps to real bad back pains. so you can start timing them. if they are five minutes or less then you need to get to a hospital asap.
