In other words, I was told about a psychiatric classification about a person who thinks that another person is only as good as how they treat them, and disregard the rest of their characteristics.

For example: If you don't treat me well, then you're not a good person. If you treat me well, you're a good person.

Does anyone know?

I think that a person who judges others on the basis of how good they are treated by that person is just an average person.

If I treat you badly, it shows that I have no self control, poor manners, etc. If you judge me as a bad person it would be because I have just shown you that I am not a good person.

I guess that if the first person doesn't know anything else about the second person, only how they treat them and not how they act or treat others, then that's all they have to go on.

It's not ideal, but people judge on what they know and observe.

This is a silly question. OBVIOUSLY, if you are mean and nasty to someone, all the time, he/she is going to think you are a mean and nasty person. If you are good to someone all the time, he/she is going to think you are a good person. Do you seriously expect that people would react in any other way, unless they are totally insane?
