Go with the Mazda 6s, I drove a rental when my car was at the dealer for repairs, and now I'm thinking of getting one myself. The V6 engine is smooth and well mated to the 6 speed auto, there are many trim levels to choose from and lots of available options. The Pontiac G6 isn't bad but this is a fairly new car on the market so I'm not sure of its longentivity and reliability. The Grand Prix GT is getting long in the tooth so its pretty low tech compared to the Mazda and G6.

You are comparing two lemons to a peach. Both Pontiac's have bad consumer ratings. The Mazda 6 has a very high rating for customer satisfaction. The fit and finish of the Mazda will be superior to the Detroit iron.
Unless you are on a personal mission to right the trade imbalance with Japan, then get the Mazda.

I LOVE my Mazda 6s!!! I have a 2006 - I have had NO problems at all and it is not bad in the winter. Pontiac's are good cars, but they don't add up to Mazda's service department. Mazda's are great buys - the Mazda 6s will hold its value MUCH longer than any pontiac. Hope this helps!

Mazda. Pontiacs are rated very low by most consumer groups and publications. I think you will be much happier witht he Mazda.
I owned a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am for a couple of years and couldn't wait to get rid of it.

I would recommend getting in each vehicle and see which one suits you best. No matter what the cars may be "rated" at, It may not "fit" you. Everyone has an opinion on what is best but I think you should decide for yourself after giving each one a fair shot in the driver seat.
