I have a Toshiba Satellite A35-S159. I have taken it to repair shop 2 to 3 times about the same problem but I was told automatic shutdown did not happen when the machine was examined.

Had the same problem with a Toshiba. On the bottom of the laptop is a cover you can unscrew over the processor. It is right next to the fan. When I opened mine the opening between the fan and the processor was completely filled with lint. After cleaning it has not happened again.

I had the same problem when I used it on my bed as I have no desk... so now I resort to laying in bed with laptop in lap... The hot air blows out and need to vent away from where it came so try giving it some air

that is quite hardship-loose that laptops commence overheating. the reason being that they are outfitted very compact. that is needed that the followers are operating properly and that the vents are sparkling. even as the workstation is on became on, turn it over (with out remaining the lid) and listen (or sense) to work out if the followers are operating. in the journey that they don't look, i'd advise getting the fan replaced. a fantastic workstation restoration position can try this for about $one hundred. If the followers are operating then you definately merely opt for to purchase compressed air in a can (bought at reminiscence tutor, canadian tire, etc) for about $10 and substances your workstation a fantastic blow-down. stick the nosel contained in the passageways and blow it out. often times there is merely a great number of dirt or hairballs collected and blocking off the circulate.
