Clean all fans inside your PC ... freezing up is very often caused by the computer being overheated (oh the irony, freezing because of heat)

Does your computer at least have 512MB memory stick, if its any lower than that i can see why it freezes, if you already have that(which is standard on all new computers) you should try going up to a 1 GB if that dosnt help your HD might be bad, if it makes noise when its running it it, Its supposed to run silently, its almost like a crunching noise, also viruses and spyware dont help. go to google and search for AVG Spyware programs that are free to download.

You can attempt to add extra ram to your computer. Most games take up extra processing power, the instructinos are read through the RAM. If you don't have alot of RAM it will cause your computer to crash or freeze. Try doubling what you have now. I.e. 256 go to 512. 512 go to 1gb. etc.

You might have to get more hard drive memory. You can also try using your system tools under programs accessories and use scan disk to delete unecessary files.
