What are the chances of an Aerospace engineer with a Ph.d degree to work at NASA(any section but preferebly the design section)?

let's say he\she got his\her Ph.d from a good American University.

What design section? NASA contracts most design work to companies like Bionetics Corporation, LOGICON, Universities Space Research Association, Computer Sciences Corp, etc.

If you really want to work as a NASA employee, then you need to apply for a civil service position. It looks like they have about 184 jobs open right now. See the second link.

well your chances are pretty good, if you are having problems getting a job with nasa try getting a job first with lockheed martin, northrop, or other defense contractors, then make your way into NASA. where did you go ot school? What kind of degree?
