The last letter has the right answer, You can buy an adaptor to give you up to four sockets. They are quite cheap and can be obtained at Argos for £9.99 hope this helps.

Plug your cable into the scart socket on your DVD recorder, plug a cable into the output of the DVD recorder into the scart socket on the back of your TV.

you can eithier " daisy chain " then, but the downside is it is building up resistance for the signial to get though.
Or you can buy a scart adpotor, this device has a scart plug one end, and anything from 2-4 extra scart sockets the other.
