Yeah, morning sickness is an oxymoron. It can last all day in some women and some women don't get it at all. I'm so sorry that you ended up having it all day. I can sypathize. I had the same, but I never threw up. I was just severly nauseated ALL day for about 2 months. You can try Emetrol and it is safe for pregnancy. It can be bought over the counter at Walmart. It's an anti nausea liquid. You can try also buying ginger and grating some into hot water and make like a ginger tea. Ginger ale and crackers are an age old remedy, though it may not work for some. Best of luck and hang on. It will all be worth it in the end.

If they called it all-freaking-day sickness (which it truly is for most) no one would want to get pregnant, and thus the human race would meet its demise.

Eating small healthy snacks throughout the day definately helps keep nausea at bay (although did not eliminate it entirely for me).

Also, what worked wonders for me in the morning when I was at my pukiness peak was to mix a glass of Gatorade when I first woke up in the morning. About a half hour after my stomach settled a little I was able to eat, and keep the food down (for the most part). I advise that you only use the powdered mix as premixed Gatorade will be too sweet and cause you to be more sick.

Everyone's different, but these two things definately worked for the 20+ weeks that I was ill!

When I was pregnant, I was sick morning, noon, and night for the first 10 weeks. My midwife suggested I take some ginger, and I got some chewable ginger stuff from a health food store, but I thought it tasted disgusting. There was really nothing I was able to do for mine. Just eat healthy food, eat smaller portions frequently throughout the day, and don't drink water on an empty stomach.

Hi there,
I know how you feel - that all day nausea can be terrible. Fortunately for me it was over by the third month:) What worked for me was saltine crackers and sipping on Coke - it really does wonders! Even if you don't feel like eating try one of these and you'll feel better. Some people suggest ginger ale but it's really whatever works best for you. Good luck and Congrats!

I had the same problem. It helps somewhat to use ginger: gingersnaps, ginger tea, etc. I found it helped me to carry around saltines everywhere I went. They can calm your stomach if you just nibble. I also went on a prenatal vitamin that had less iron and that was actually a huge help. My "morning" sickness only lasted through the first trimester - I hope the same for you. Good luck and congratulations.

So was I. I threw up from morning until I went to bed each night. Nothing helped. I felt horrible. Even threw up the morning she was born. BUT the second pregnancy was nothing like the first one. Don't let your stomach be empty. Other than eating crackers to help settle your stomach I can't recommend anything. Hang in there. It does pass.

I am in my third trimester of pregnancy now. well my doctor advised me to eat salty crackers when ever I felt dizzy.
It really helps. Do try and keep them handy whenever you go out. You will feel good after having 2 or 3!!

Yeah, some unfortunates get all-day sickness instead, huh? Ginger pills help, as do starchy food such as crackers.

dont ever let your stomach get empty, always eat little snacks through out the day, i didnt drink juice very often because the acid made me sick...drinking milk helped me also... i also think there are certain types of vitamins that can help you also but you should ask your doctor first.
