Once the ban is finished you are free. Obviously you will have it printed on your licence, so employers will see it, and it may be a bar to driving public service vehicles, a phone call will tell you.

3 years - you must have been seriously over the limit OR it was a second offence.
As an employer I would not give you a job that involves any driving. Your punishment does not end after the ban. You will have to wait for 10 years before it can be removed from your licence.

I don't think any bus firm would pay the higher insurance premium that would entail from having you as a driver due to your lengthy ban, you must have been drastically over the limit to get a 3 yr ban!!

3 year ban suggests a second DD offence.
I think the problem here is insurance. The cost of insurance goes sky high when you get done for DD. The cost for bus driver insurance will be sky high in such circumstances.
I think for that reason alone the answer will be no.
But do ask.

Normally after a ban period is over there is no restrictions on driving. Contact the DVLA direct and ask them the question.
