Don't you know God loves you...seriously...I know this is heavy for P & S, but in a tolerant, enlightened Society...dosen't that mean respect for all beliefs...not just you own?

It's because when some people are violated by a few, they unfairly put everyone in that group in one basket. It doesn't make sense that some people do back to others what they did not appreciate being done to themselves. Treat people the way you want to be treated.

Ideally, yes, we should have respect for all beliefs. There is a lot of anger in the world, and it's very sad, not to mention a complete waste of time and energy. I feel that most of it stems from the fear of the unknown.

Dude!! You're preaching to the choir! I wondered this same thing!! Just because you don't believe in it doesn't mean it's bogus!! There are ppl out there who's worlds revolve around it, that alone makes it deserve some respect.
ppl seem to forget that respecting and agreeing are two different things. I understand that you don't agree, but you can;t disrespect a person for that. Like my boy 2 pac says, you don't have to bump it but please respect it.

Tolerance is important and it's a two-way street; it's important for everyone to respect *everyone* and their beliefs...even those who do not believe in god as you do.

it takes alot to anger me...I'm tolerant of others beliefs...I just dont
like the bashing some people have to take from the religious folks
I wish some would follow their own rules and let their God be the judge not themselves

I believe we should all respect each other etc, but funny how it seems to be religiously based most of the unrest in the world.
I know lots of religious persons who dont love their neighbours, or forgive and forget.

What's wrong with being angry? that's part of my charm - my temper.
I like people who get riled up about their beliefs. Being angry does not always equate to disrespect.
