Definitely the valkyries on this one, although the Knights Templar didn't believe in the Teutonic mythologies and therefore would not be "acceptable" candidates for inclusion in Odin's armies. Being Christian, their souls would follow the traditions and dogma of their own religion.
The Valkyries ride on either winged steeds or simply steeds that fly, being offspring of Sleipner, Odin's eight-legged horse. Their weapons and armor are of godly nature and are forged by the Norse version of Dwarves, who have blacksmithing skills that not even the Gods can approach. This version of Dwarves are also responsible for forging Thor's hammer, Mjolnir; Odin's spear, Gungnir; Sif's golden hair, the wondrous folding boat of the Gods, etc. etc.
The Knights Templar may or may not have the Grail with them - probably not, as it would have been too holy of a relic to just carry on campaign, and unlike the Ark of the Covenant, its power was not of an offensive nature. Their weapons and armor, while being the best money could buy, are of mortal fashioning and would not stand a snowball's chance in hel of standing up to the Valkyrie armaments. The Valkyries are immortal spirits that have seen centuries of battle and whose fighting prowess is par excellance, they are easily the match of any Knight on the field.
Winner: the Valkyries
Thank you, D.R., and as much as I enjoyed our very spirited debate on the last one, I do apologize for any offense my - ahem - enthusiasm may have generated. I do love a good, intelligent debate, and you proved that with a good, continued defense of your opinion. Bravo!

The Valkyries were not fighters, they simply collected the souls of dead warriors to go to Valhalla where eternal feasting and fighting took place.
Only the strongest warriors were picked by them, Freya getting the prime choice before the others were taken to Odin. Traditionally Valkyries do not fight.
So as much as I hate to say it, the Knights Templar would win as they would have no opponents!

Hmm... Yes.
I agree with what Lord bearpaw said.
Valkyries.
Besides, all those years ago, wouldn't the Knights Templar be poor examples of human beings (physically) compared to say the athletes/soldiers/martial-artists of today? Due to a lack of 5 fruit and veg a day, training, illnesses and what not?

Surely the Valkyries, because they can't die. They will also pick up the dead Templars and bring them to Valhalla. Now, who can hate on the Valkyries then?

IT would be a good fight on the part of the Knights but even with the holy grail in their back pocket the Valkyries would whip them. And as someone said before, carry their dead bodies back to Oden in Valhala.
