I havent had a single contraction, not even Braxton Hicks. I'm 40w3d. Are there any other signs that labor is close? I also havent lost a mucus plug either. Am I looking towards induction?

well there are signs but they dont mean labor is coming right away....brown or pinkish discharge, loose bowel movements, feeling neasueas, sometimes the baby's movement will decrease before the labor. You dont have much longer, but induction might be needed, after you go to term the placenta and ambilical cord start to deteriorate so they usually try to get the baby out pretty quick. Good luck!!

It could be possible that they miscalculated your due date. If not, you may not know that labor is going to happen until it starts! Has the baby dropped? I lost my mucus plug after labor had started, so I wouldn't worry too much about that either. With all three of my pregnancy's I experienced extreme fatigue, like I could not even get off the couch, right before labor started, as well as headaches. Also, as far as induction, doctors will usually allow your labor to continue for 42 weeks before considering this, unless you want this! Good luck.

Same experience. Yes your doctor may suggest induction...probably won't let you go too much longer.
I was eight days overdue. My doctor wanted to induce when I was 3 days over, and I said no. He gave me a few more days, with a non-stress test in between.

Well, idk if this will help lol..But when i was pregnant w/ my daughter i had discharge and a little blood..But i was only 21 wks. U may have 2 b induced if u dun go into labor soon.

wow, well you might need to be induced but until that happens walk alot and have lots of sex if possible to help move things along.
