Ok, so my first love and I fought for the first time ever in 12 years earlier today. We are still in love with one another, but we have decided that it's best to remain friends for now. I need the best ROCK song to describe my situation. I'd prefer is be softer like Seether or Nickleback, something like that. Thanks!!

If You Don't Know Me By Now - By Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes or Simply Red

Here is soemthing to help for now.

I got a feeling that you were not at ease with something.
Whatever the cause, I felt disturbed...tossed all night long in my slumber. Please let me know if my love is not enough to
sustain you through the long nights and waiting days.
These days my life is built around when next I'll see you,
when next I'll receive your email, when next I'll hold you close in my arms. I suffer the same anxieties as you. But I'm resolved to do whatever in my life if it means that I get to finish out
my time here with you...I love you with all my heart
I have since the first time we spoke and our connection took it's course. You've been there for me when I was up and down.
You've always been my inspiration for everything I am and will be no matter where you are or what you do. "

I'm going to say "Far Away" by Nickelback. It may not be perfect but I tried.
