Unless the question needs the information I usually will not read all of the long drawn out answers..

Well I'd hope so. I also give very long answers. But I don't usually ramble on about nothing, I just explain the answer to a question, the best I can. Most people ask complicated questions that need long answers if you are going to answer them properly.

Some people seem to like them because I get quite a few 'best answers'. It's usually only in this section that I do long answers, mostly cause this is the section I know enough info about to write the long answers!

I hope so! I'm usually one of the ones who gives them. I try to explain what is on my mind the best way possible, and sometimes I end up unintentionally making it longer than expected. But If I gave someone good advice, then that's all that matters to me. If they chose not to take the time to read it, they probably weren't look ing for a real answer, but more of a quick fix, and I don't give quick fixes.

It depends on if they are informational or just ranting. Usually the long ones come from cut/paste off some site. I would prefer they just post the links.
