having your spouse compliment you on your looks, saying how beautiful you look and how nice your hair is and your beautiful smile, what a nice body you have etc OR would you rather have a man that is a good communicator and listener, always looking for your best interest, helping you in situations physically and mentally good gifts that you need and want (expensive ones at that)and does everything in his power for you.
Only pick one,not both and dont say it should be a compromise of both.
what is more important to women the complimenter or the one who shows his love?
I could be just plain ugly, fat and stupid and fooling myself, but even when I looked my best 5'8 1/2 inches at 140# he never complimented me then either and I can understand why he doesnt now because I have put some weight on and may not be attractive to him anymore, because I know he knows how to compliment because he compliments others when they look good, so I get the doer, but I guess at least he shows his love some wa

I enjoy words of affirmation like, " I am proud of you", "You are the best cook", "I wish I could be more like you". But I also like the physical hug, kiss and nearness. I also like the liitle words that come from my husband when he leaves a single red rose on my pillow.

I like gifts of his kindness when he does the laundry or starts supper because her knows I had a stressful day. I just love all aspects of being married to my husband and wish you the same happiness. There is a book, "The 5 Languages of Love" or "The 5 Love Languages" that we both read and we learned so much about each other it was amazing. But you both have to be willing to listen and learn.

This is the man I have now. I would you rather have a man that is a good communicator and listener, always looking for your best interest, helping you in situations physically and mentally good gifts that you need and want (expensive ones at that, and the gifts don't have to expensive either, it's not how much someone spends on you it's the thought of it.)and does everything in his power for you.

The latter. Anyone can say those "sweet nothings". But someone who listens to you, really cares about you.
