If this is to repair a private driveway, you can buy 25 kg sacks of cold rolling asphalt from a builders merchant. First clean out all loose material from the hole. Paint black bitumen all over the hole and around the top of the hole for about an inch all round (use a cheap old brush then throw it away). Fill the hole with the asphalt and tamp it down hard. If necessary add more asphalt until level and tamp down again. Finally spread some dry dust (not soil) on top. This will turn the surface greyish to match the existing surface.

Why EZ Street cold mix over traditional cold mix? The answer depends on how many times you want to repair the pothole in your driveway. Most conventional cold mix is only a temporary repair. These products break down over time and require you to repair the pothole again and again. If you want to patch a pothole and you want to do it once, the right way, EZ Street pothole patch is your best and most cost-effective pothole repair solution.

i would imagine you would add some hardcore to the pothole, then cover with tarmac. To be sure, top of the morning. would you like me to tarmac your drive, while my mate pops into the house and steals a shoebox containing 10 pound notes from under your bed?

Micheal B is correct I have repaired many faults on new build properties ( builder ) I do it the way he states but the only difference is that I use a blow lamp around the edges so as to blend it in as every one wants a complete new drIve but not when ive repaired it ( fault finding and rectification business in the UK )

You can purchase patching tarmac in sacks to fill the hole. I think they are called patch a mac or something similar. Follow the instructions but it is advisable to get a wacca plate to ensure it is compacted enough
