I tried lots of things. The best solution was Yahoo Sponsored Search, but my income equaled my advertisement budget.

Good question. I put up my site in November of last year and I have had exactly 3 hits (i. e. responses or requests for information). The person that built my site stressed getting the right search words into your copy, and the second thing she stressed was getting my site to show up in the most search engines. Mine shows up in GOOGLE, YAHOO, WEB CRAWLER, and about 4 more.

But it could also be that I am in a business that most folks don't have a need for either.

How To Attract Endless New Distributors And Customers To You.

I'm sure you would agree that in order to build
and own a large Network Marketing Organization, you
need to attact a certain type of person.
ie: Somebody who has leadership skills, has a strong
desire to succeed and finally unshakable commitment
to see the people in their business, dupliate and grow.

Now you can always Build your People so they build
the business.....

OR

You can attract the people who already have the
leadership skills, strong desire to succeed and
unshakable commitment to see the people in their
business, dupliate and grow.

Now if you are a Leader yourself, You'll know it's
not really about finding the opportunity, as there is
opportunity everywhere. It's really about Marketing
and Branding Yourself as a Professional and handing
people a SYSTEM where they
can market and brand themselves too.
If this system is NOT Generic you will not attract leaders
throughout the Network marketing world.

Why Would a Leader want to join you in your
Opportunity? They already have an Opportunity! They
want a better way of Marketing and attracting quality
people to their business.....

So how do you create daily cash flow, Build a
database of E.S.P. (EDUCATED SERIOUS PROSPECTS), earn
on the production value of your organization (ie -
get paid 5-6-7 times from every member in your
business) rather than at the end of your sales
funnel, and last but certainly not least get paid
even when people say no to your primary business ??

Some say this is revolutionary - I say it's the
secret your Million Dollar Earners in this industry
never wanted you to know.

Firstly if you are going to use PPC you must keep a very close eye on your spend compared with your income. Remember Yahoo and Google are making mega bucks somehow!

There are several main ways to attract visitors to your site:

1) Natural traffic - by SEO'ing your site and then getting good search engine rankings on relevant key words.
2) Writing articles and becoming an expert on the subject matter.
3) Social networking so getting exposure for your site.
4) Off line marketing for your site.
5) Building a list and then marketing to them.

Small Business Marketing Strategy: Target the up-and-coming search engines

While Google still rules the roost when it comes to Internet search engines, and Yahoo is firmly entrenched in second spot, a number of new start-ups are hoping to give them a run for their money. And a good small business marketing strategy would be to check them out and see how you can make them work for your site!

Some of the new up-and-comers include:

Powerset (www.powerset.com): A "natural language" search engine

Hakia (www.hakia.com): A "meaning-based" search engine

Wikia(www.wikia.com): A "community-based" search engine

ChaCha(www.chacha.com): A "social networking-based" search engine

Snap (www.snap.com): A search engine that offers visual previews

It's a smart small business marketing strategy to continue optimizing for the Google, Yahoo, and MSN search engines as they are by far and away the most popular -- but niche search engines could provide new opportunities to reach your market. Be sure to check them out!

-use ezine advertising classifieds ads, solo ads or sponsorship ads.
- try to increase traffic from search engines
- use social networking
- posting forums
- It is important to build many ways to get traffic for your websites
But the best they need time and effort more than money.
- another thing: are you master pay per click advertising, because if you try to learn about them that will decrease your advertisement budget (I suppose, if you do some effort with Yahoo sponsored search that will help you to get best result and don't forget that ppc advertising is the second way to get traffic to your web site it is worst strategy is you neglect is).
- try capture your visitors email and use back end selling techniques that will increase your income.

I use a lot of the free promotional tools at http://ewebsmith.com to sign up affiliates. Then I email the affiliates and other sign ins that I get. The free ad sites are giving me a click through rate of over 5%. People send me a lot of emails saying they don't work but I got over 9,000 visits from one site alone last week.

SEO is good... think long term... you want to build your backlinks, get ranked high, write articles (or have someone else write them) that will drive traffic to your site.
Write articles for a keyword with minimal competion and optomize your site for a keyword with fairly low competition but a lot searched for. The articles if submitted to goarticles.com, ezinearticles.com (and a lens on squidoo will help) will usually get ranked high if you go after specific keywords.
You'll get perhaps 10 unique clicks per day per article if you find the right terms, but this will have a snowball effect since every article added will get 10 more, and your website will get ranked higher and higher for you term that will bring it alot more searches...

Once you get your page (as opposed to your article) ranked #1 for one term, you can create a subdomain and go for another term

Good SEO software will make you job MUCH MUCH easier

Build inbound links to your website.
Most of the directories online charge a one time fee to review your site and add it to their index. Here are three of my favorites:

http://www.kahmer.com

The more inbound links to your site, the better you will rank
with Yahoo / Google / MSN.
Also work on your meta tags. Here is an
article on how they work: http://www.richkahmer.com/meta-tags.html
