I am doing a paper for school and i need to write about a social issue....I don't want the usual crap of abortion, global warming and what not. Anyone have something genuine and interesting?

What about 'studying' the 'social issues' of going to one church on a 'regular' basis? ... and you can do this by seeing if people who go to church 'more often' are more 'socially responsible' (give more charity, volunteer more hours) than those who go to church only once a week, once a month, or 'only on high religious holidays' like Christmas and Easter.
