How do theathers get their movies?? And then how do compaines make the copies??

The films are shipped to the theater in cases that contain about 15 minutes of film each. (eight for a two hour movie) Those are assembled, in the correct order hopefully, at the theater for showing. Copies of a master film are made by duplicating services companies. There are tons of these companies in LA. This process is managed by the distributor whose logo is usually seen in the opening or closing credits. 20th Century Fox distributed all of the Star Wars films for Lucasfilm LTD and Buena Vista is the distributor for Walt Disney.

its very complicated, the movies are rented and they report their sales to that film for the period of time in the theater, which is what determines how much they will pay ( i guess)
