Hi Fox -

Try these:

And Gurneys usually sells plant and plant cells to start seeds and starters:

Whatever you buy, make sure you are buying clean and sterile pots (which may not be the case at a 'hardware' store). The above merchants sell clean stuff for greenhouses and see startings.

Actually, they do not have to be sterile. Most nurseries who sell or give out their pots do not have diseased plants. Home gardeners also give out pots when the interest wanes or they have too many; you would wash these, anyway.

Charley's Greenhouse sells lots of stuff; some more expensive than others. Any garden center sells 4 inch pots, and they can even be found at places like KMart and the like at certain times of the year.

Advertise in your local newspaper ,
that you need second hand 4" plant pots , for potting up ASAP.

If anybody is clearing out their shed or greenhouse,
they will be delighted to see them, be re-cycled,
rather than thrown out .

Once people know you need them and will use them ,

you should get, a steady stream, of pots land on your doorstep
.
Most people will be happy to let you have them for free
Though ,you might like to offer, one or two plant cuttings in exchange . :)
Or pay them so much, per batch of pots

Happy planting !!

You can find 3.5" pots (they are 4" deep) along with other seed starting supplies at http://www.greenhousecatalog.com/supplies-seedling-needs-c-32_35.html. They are more durable and thicker plastic pots then the ones you buy plants in at the stores, so they can be reused.

No, what you're offering will prepare dinner your flora. leaving a lid on a sparkling plastic container in 81F degree temps will warmth the interior the container as much as around 150F and which will kill all your seedlings. With the temps you're having you do no longer want chilly secure practices on your pepper seedlings. in case you opt to yet them in a container, go away the lid off and positioned agricultural fleece/row disguise or a chew of colour fabric over genuine to maintain the seedlings moist adequate yet additionally to permit air in and warmth out. if it have been me i might detect a gap out of direct image voltaic that has sturdy wind secure practices for the seedlings and forget on the subject of the entire container/chilly physique theory.
