i asked vegetarians if they would eat a bug to save a cows life..and I got all these hostile answers. I really didn't mean to offend anyone, I just wondered what vegetarians would do in a situation like that.....it was just meant partly as a joke and I was a bit curious. Don't they have a sense of humor?

No one should have been hurt by your question. It wasn't insulting. Sure, it was silly and it does seem like you are poking fun at vegetarians, but so what? I hope that in all of your hostile answers, someone gave you an actual answer. If they didn't think it was a serious question, they should have ignored it. I guess you should feel bad if you truly meant to be rude or hurt someone, but if not, no, you shouldn't feel bad. No one was forced to answer your question.

I'm laughing right now, okay? Most people do not like questions that challenge their beliefs, period. You're posting to a wide variety of people here and if you ask a charged question, you are probably going to make some people angry. Now I need to go read the angry posts of all those pacifistic vegetarians.

You should not feel bad. No question is stupid, immature, retarded or anything like that and you should be proud of yourself for asking. You will not know the answer unless you ask the question. Don't let others dictate how you should feel and what kind of questions are acceptable.

Apparently not. Alot of people take offense to the simplest things so, don't feel bad about it.

If there were no cows, I'd eat vegetables...oh wait, I aready do!

"Shame is for the weak," forget feeling bad. That's almost like a chicken and egg question. Although it could be "really metaphorical" as in would you sacrifice the lesser of two evils...myself...I'm having steak and leaving the bugs for Survivor.
