I have a customer who needs banners printed and I know there is a formula for printing out the frequency of halftones when you know the approximate viewing distance. The halftone is 30%, the banners are 2' x 3' and the viewing distance is about 15 to 20 feet. I thought a frequency of 10 would look fine but I need to find the "correct" frequency. Help?

You should also apply the mesh and angle to this before trying to print a halftone with no moray. If the screener has an art dept they should be able to give you the spec so you can produce the art right an they don't have to adjust. I know this is not the answer want but there are other factors.

are you a silk screener, or is someone else producing the banners. If you know who will be putting the art on the banners, contact them - they will tell you the specs they need ;)
