Their were reports that the Patriots were interested in trading for Moss, their were also reports that stallworth is visiting the NE facility right now. Is there a chance the Pats get either of these guys, or doubtful for both?

The Patriots need a #1 receiver which they haven't had since they traded away Mr Branch and David Givens two years ago (hopefully they can draft a good player since they got a first round pick from the Seahawks in the trade for Branch).

Randy Moss rumors happen every year now but I doubt Belichick would trade for him. The Raiders are holding out for a 1st round pick and although the Pats have 2 Belichick normally drafts defensive players in the first round seeing hows he's a defensive coach. (i.e. Seymour, Warren, Wilfork) Also remember what happened last time the Pats went for a disgruntled Raiders receiver? Doug Gabriel looked like he was going to be a good fit but he's a punk and has no work ethic. Belichick will stay away from Raiders player.

Dante Stallworth would be an interesting fit for the Pats but he has said he wants to stay with the Eagles. He also has had injury problems in the past and Belichick tends to stay a way from injury problem players. He's also going to want a lot of money and Belichick doesn't pay offensive players the big bucks (aside from Brady).

In addition the Pats just traded Wes Welker from The Dolphins for a second round pick and signed him to a 5 year $18.1 million contract ($9 mill guarenteed). Although he's not a traditional #1 receiver he did lead the Dolphins in receptions and yards (only 1 TD though). He is also a great kick/punt returner and special teams player.

Bottom line is Belichick doesn't like to spend the big bucks on offensive players and the Pats have already signed Wes Welker. Probably still in the hunt for another WR maybe through the draft or a smaller name receiver such as Eric Mlouds

There has been a lot of talk about getting Moss, but the problem is that the Raiders want a first rounder which the Pats wont give up. I think there is a pretty good chance Stallworth will come. They can use someone with his talent.

They will not have the money for Moss if they get Thomas I don't think. Plus, Moss doesn't fit into that system well. Stallworth could be a guy they would get, and he will probably go there for a chance to win. I wouldn't be surprised to see Moss end up in Atlanta and Stallworth in New England.

stallworth is not a hot item right now it has been reported by adam schefter from the NFL network that he is in the substance abuse program in the NFL which means he will be tested every week it hasnt been reported what he tested positive for to be placed in the program

and oakland isnt really thinking about trading moss

plus the pats just blew a **** load of money on wes welker that is very confusing for a #3 receiver at best

pats are not going to be shopping for another WR

Well, I don't know if Moss would be a good fit for the Patriots...He's not TO, but he's not Jerry Rice either...They were able to have Corey Dillon, who had some personality issues according to the Bengals...

Don't know much about Stallworth...Is he a trouble maker too?

No... Bill is way to much about discipline and TEAM as a whole and Moss and Stallworth are all about self. If they DO get them then i lose most of my respect for belicic. It's against what the Pats stand for.
